Welcome to TIRONTECH!

It’s my hope that this blog will follow my various wanderings and ramblings through the world of Tech, gadgets that I love, and a few that I don’t love.

Please take a moment to register via the tab above.  You can receive email updates and leave comments, as well as access portions of the site not visible without logging in.

We are all immersed in a myriad of tech-related issues.  Some willingly.  Some kicking and screaming.  I fall into the willing category!  There’s really nothing I like better than to spend loads of time researching something I'm interested in -- from tech gadgets, to MRI (my day job!), to flying.  I generally produce notes when I do this as my memory is so bad that if I don’t write it all down I forget whether it was gadget C or widget B that did that oh-so-cool function G!

Recently I have been sending some of my thoughts out in the form of emails and cluttering up the mailboxes of friends and family.  So, to keep their mailboxes clean, and because it seemed exciting to me to learn the tools of blogging, here we go -- the launch of TIRONTECH.

The first few posts will likely deal with issues related to starting a blog, as this is pretty fresh in my mind.   Also, for the past couple of weeks I’ve been on a project to examine my at-home privacy and security.  So,  after sharing some thoughts on blogging tools, we'll spend some time on making yourself less vulnerable to data loss, hacking, and all manner of unpleasant things.  Lots of research to do, and lots to learn!

I encourage anyone reading this to help fill in holes, correct mistakes, and offer alternative and likely better points of view via comments.  If you’d like to contribute something in the form of a post, that would be great, so email me or use the "Contact" page from the toolbar at the top of the page.

Finally, rest assured that the great ideas that I hope you will read are the result of the hard work and brain power of others.  I claim the mistakes for myself!

Enjoy!
